In addition to preparing for GP/VIP Day, the 8th graders took a quiz on auditioning this week.
September 19-23, 2016
In addition to working on our "Night of Light" harmonies, the 8th graders are continuing to get their acting feet wet through pantomime by showing weight, space and resistance. They continue practicing their character voices through exercises in vocal inflection, and working on "Tall Tale" skits to tie it all together! Ask your 8th grader the best way to approach a cold reading and how this differs from a monologue (there will be a quiz on this next week...)!
September 12-16, 2016
8th graders have been working on vocal inflections, character voices, facial expression and entrances through cold readings and Fairytale skits.
September 5-9, 2016
These first couple of weeks the 8th graders got their feet wet experiencing theatre improvisation. At the same time, a few extraneous vocabulary words were introduced...("Can you pantomime arrogant? mischievious? disgusted?")
